PERI’S State Annual Meeting - Hotel name officially changing 9/1/2025

Registration will be from 8:30am – 9:30 a.m.
You are invited to join us for the PERI State Annual Meeting which will be held at The Ohioan Hotel and Event Center in Lewis Center, OH. Monday, September 29th. The hotel is conveniently located just minutes north of Interstate 270 and State Route 23. Features include free parking, a covered drop-off area outside the lobby, and sleeping rooms, if needed. Please provide them with the group code of 407131 when making a reservation by calling (614) 880-4300.
Registration will be from 8:30 am to 9:30 am. Coffee, tea and pastry will be available during
that time.
We will not be doing seat/table assignments this year. We highly recommend you arrive early to secure your preferred seat location. Coffee and pastries will be on the pathway to the ballroom, where you can enter. The event will start promptly at 9:30 a.m.
This year we are doing something different and will not have educational breakout sessions, but will have OPERS Executive Director, Karen Carraher and her team present the overview and education part of OPERS. We will have a legislative education presentation with outgoing Board Chair, Richard Ross, Legislative Representative, Mara White and OPERS Legislative Director, Gorden Gatien. Our afternoon guest speakers for the event will be Sen. Mark Romanchuk District 22, and Vice Chair of ORSC; Rep Phil Plummer, District 39 and a board member of the ORSC.
After lunch, we will have the PERI business meeting where you will hear brief remarks from outgoing PERI Chairman, Richard Ross, PERI Executive Director, Lezlie Garcia, outgoing PERI Treasurer John DiPietro and a legislative report from PERI Legislative Representative, Mara White. After the meeting, we will swear in the new PERI Executive Board.
The meeting will conclude with special door prize drawings.
